ORLANDO, Fla – Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law alumna Natasha Lias, a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Omicron Omega Chapter, delivered personal protective equipment (PPE) to the FAMU Law campus.
The donations were collected earlier through a PPE drive hosted by her organization to benefit local students returning to school.
Reflecting on her years as a student at the law school, and her needs during the pandemic, Lias, a 2013 FAMU Law graduate, made it a priority to give back to currently enrolled FAMU Law students and earmarked some of the collected items for the campus.

Along with FAMU Law Dean Deidré Keller and Student Services staff members, several students were on-hand to receive the donations including Student Bar Association President Suwana Jean-Janvier, and Alpha Kappa Alpha members Tamara Gainor, Destiny Hibbler, Sherell Reddin and Amari Roberts.
“On behalf of our students, I thank the AKAs for this generous donation of supplies,” said Keller.
The donations consisted of face masks, hand sanitizers, bacterial wipes and other items to help students stay safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.
