FAMU Law Professor Recalls Meeting General Colin Powell

ORLANDO, Fla – Like so many others, Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law Professor Patricia Broussard was shocked to hear the news of the passing of General Colin Powell. Professor Broussard had the opportunity to meet General Powell while she was a law professor at Howard University in Washington, DC.
“General Powell invited me to speak at the State Department for a Martin Luther King, Jr. event,” said Broussard. “General Powell was gracious, kind, impressive, remarkable and a great leader. It was such an honor to meet him and to speak at the event. General Powell has made significant contributions to our society and he will be greatly missed.”
