ORLANDO, Fla – Zsa’Queria Martin studied extremely hard for her New York Bar Exam. The Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law alumna says her hard work paid off when she scored very well on the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE).

Martin thanks her support system for believing in her ability to succeed. “Thank you, GOD, for protecting me and allowing me to trust the process,” said Greenville, South Carolina native Martin. "Thank you to my village. Thank you to my ancestors and prayer warriors.”

“Martin’s score is outstanding,” said FAMU Law Interim Director of Academic Success & Bar Preparation Eurilynne Williams. “She took one exam and made herself eligible for admission to practice in every UBE jurisdiction.”

Martin’s outstanding performance on the bar exam ultimately entitles her to apply to practice in 41 UBE jurisdictions.

For now, the Class of 2023 alumna has her heart set on practicing law in New York. She accepted a position as criminal defense attorney for The Bronx Defenders. Martin is already in the courtroom making a difference.

The UBE is coordinated by the National Conference of Bar Examiners, a not-for-profit corporation that develops licensing tests for bar admission and provides character and fitness investigations.
