FAMU Law Student to Work at Holland & Knight for Second Summer

ORLANDO, Fla – FAMU College of Law student Shanice Cameron will spend a second summer in a row learning the legal profession from attorneys at Holland & Knight, LLP in Orlando. Cameron will serve as the 2021 Holland & Knight Scholar during the summer semester, and she will receive a full in-state tuition scholarship for her third year of law school, starting in Fall 2021.

Cameron, who was recently named Editor-in-Chief of FAMU’s Law Review for the 2021-2022 academic year, also was named the 2020 Holland & Knight Scholar. She received a scholarship for her second year of law school and employment at the firm during the Summer 2020 semester.

Because of the pandemic, Cameron participated in last summer’s program virtually. She will again experience the learning opportunity through a virtual format this summer.

“I am elated about the opportunity to return to Holland & Knight. I look forward to continuing to sharpen my skills and building relationships with the phenomenal partners, associates, and staff within the firm,” said Cameron, from Bronx, New York. “Thank you to FAMU Law, Holland & Knight, my family, and friends for all your encouragement and support!”

Cameron is the second FAMU Law student to serve as a Holland & Knight Scholar for two consecutive years.
