ORLANDO, Fla –Gov. Ron DeSantis announced more than five dozen appointments and reappointments to Florida’s Judicial Nominating Commissions, the panels that recommend lawyers for judgeships. The appointees included Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law alum Andrew S. Ballentine (Class of 2015). He received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Florida.
“I am honored to have been appointed by Governor DeSantis as a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit,” said Ballentine. “The judiciary performs a critical function in our society and maintaining the rule of law. It will be my privilege to serve and assist in continuing the tradition of recommending highly qualified nominees to the Governor for review and appointment.”
Ballentine is an attorney with DSK Law Group. Ballentine is appointed for a term ending July 1, 2023.
