Executive director of administration Shashi Persaud brings both information technology and law enforcement experience to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Law. Persaud, who earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Flagler College and MBA from Florida State University, has worked as a senior information technology administrator for the Department of Homeland Security.

The FAMU College of Law executive director also worked as an information technology director for the First District Court of Appeals in Tallahassee. While Persaud’s nearly 20 years in the information technology field and nine years of work as a deputy uniquely position him to lead administration at the College of Law, Persaud also has a family that is “invested in the university,” as evidenced by family members including a FAMU College of Law professor and former FAMU board of directors member. Persaud maintains community engagement as a reserve deputy with the Brevard County Sheriff’s office.
