A dedicated educational services professional, Gary J. Harrington comes to Florida A&M University College of Law with more than 15 years of related experience. Harrington has worked in the public school system for more than 10 years and as a student services representative for more than five years. As a teacher and administrator in both Florida and Georgia, Harrington poured into students and focused his efforts on serving those that were misrepresented or not represented at all. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Florida Memorial University and a master’s in legal studies from Kaplan University. After completing his second master’s degree in educational Leadership from the University of West Florida, Harrington decided that broadening the scope and impact of his efforts would be the next step, so he began working at FAMU College of Law in 2016.
As an English major, Harrington developed a love for literature and academia. In 2011, he published his first fiction novel and has scheduled the release of a children’s book series and a follow-up novel. Writing has always been a passion for Harrington, but he has worked extremely hard to be an asset to his community and to serve as a positive example to his children. His greatest accomplishment is being able to assist our communities’ future advocates and legal stewards in achieving their goals.
