Earlier that day, Professor Abate delivered two guest lectures to classes in the Political Science and Pre-Law programs at the University of North Florida.  He delivered his first lecture, “From Inside the Cage to Outside the Box: Theories for Legal Personhood Protection for Nonhuman Animals in the U.S. and Australia,” to approximately 40 students in a Political Thought and Action class, and he delivered his second lecture, “Incorporating Public Morality Considerations to Build Consensus for a Global Ban on Shark Finning,” to approximately 30 students in a Legal Ethics class.
