FAMU law school beats state average on Bar Exam passage rate

For the first time, FAMU’s law school in Orlando has beaten the state average for the percentage of students who passed the Florida Bar Exam on the first try. Nearly 83 percent of students who took the exam in February passed — a tremendous improvement over last year’s passage rate of almost 66 percent.

Statewide, 80 percent of law-school students who took the test in Tampa in late February passed on their first attempt, according to the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, which released the test results on Monday.
