E. Juan Lynum, Professional Excellence for Solo Practice

Juan Lynum is on his own as an attorney, but that has not hindered his practice of law or his involvement in the community. In fact, Lynum has excelled as a solo attorney, a fact that was recognized at Florida A&M University College of Law’s Inaugural Distinguished Alumni Awards.

Raised in Orlando, Florida and a graduate of Jones High School, Lynum worked at many jobs before settling in the law.  He tested his skills as a Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor for the American Red Cross, worked at Walt Disney World, and with the City of Orlando. He even took a turn overseas in the marketing department of Bristol Myers Squibb’s Madrid office. He is fluent in Spanish.

A well-educated attorney, Lynum holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Florida A&M University, and an MBA in accounting from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree as a member of Florida A&M University College of Law’s inaugural class, following the re-establishment of the college in 2002.

Lynum actively supports the College of Law, raising funds for book scholarships for his classmates while he attended law school and since graduating by contributing more than $3,000.00 to co-sponsor several law school events. He has also acted as a mentor to law students. Lynum is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York, and the District of Columbia. He is also an adjunct professor teaching business law, business communications, and international business at Hillsborough Community College.
