Professor Broussard is an associate professor at Florida A& M College of Law who joined the faculty after teaching at Howard University of Law for seven years. For three of those years at Howard, Professor Broussard was the Acting Director of the writing program. She continues to be a facilitator for the AALS section on Legal Writing for new teachers. Also, while at Howard, Professor Broussard received the Warren Rosmarin Award for outstanding teaching and service because she and a colleague supervised four students in writing and submitting an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court in the case of Grutter v. Bollinger. Professor Broussard regularly coaches moot court teams and serves as a commissioner for the City of Orlando Mayor’s Martin Luther King Commission. She developed and implemented an annual service project entitled “Clean Up Parramore Day” for the law school. She is a three time recipient of the Percy Luney Spirit of Service Award. Professor Broussard loves teaching at Florida A & M College of Law and believes in leading her students by example. She also believes that students are both our greatest resource and our most important legacy.
Professor Broussard teaches Constitutional Law, The First Amendment, Women and the Law, Torts, Appellate Advocacy, and Professional Responsibility. She has a J.D., cum laude, from Howard University School of Law and a B.S. degree from Northwestern University.
