Boothe-Perry is a tenured Associate Professor at the Florida A&M
University College of Law where she teaches Torts, Professional
Responsibility, the Guardian Ad Litem Clinic, and Florida
Practice. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the
University of Florida and went on to graduate cum laude from Florida
State University College of Law where she was Secretary for the Moot
Court Team, Secretary for Phi Alpha Delta, and a Hogan Scholarship
recipient. She worked as a defense litigator for ten years before
joining the FAMU College of Law Faculty. Professor Boothe-Perry is a
member of the Order of Barristers and has earned numerous awards from
the Florida and Orange County Bar Associations for pro bono work in the
Central Florida community.
Professor Boothe-Perry focuses her scholarship on issues of professionalism and ethics in the legal profession. Recognized as a leader in the field, she is a Fellow for the National Institute for Teaching Ethics and Professionalism. Her articles have appeared in the University of Florida Journal of Law & Public Policy, Nebraska Law Review, New Mexico Law Review, American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy and the Law and Loyola University Law Review. She has served as a speaker, panelist and commentator at a number of national conferences. She is a member of the Florida Supreme Court Special Committee on Professionalism, the Florida Bar Professionalism Committee, the Orange County Bar Association Professionalism Committee, The American Bar Association Civil Rights Litigation Committee, and is a certified lecturer with the Department of Insurance.
