Barbara Bernier comes to the FAMU College of Law from the Rogers Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island. She has also taught on the faculties of the University of Richmond, the University of the District of Columbia, Howard University and Temple University. Professor Bernier was a visiting scholar at the Harvard University School of Divinity, where she studied the interconnections of law and the underdevelopment of female-centered religions. She teaches constitutional law, international human rights, property, and Constitutional Rights of Women. Professor Bernier holds an LL.M from Temple University, a J.D. from Howard University, a M.S.W. from Adelphi University and a B.A. from the State University of New York.
