Alumni

The original FAMU College of Law graduated 57 students between 1954 and 1968, many of whom have become practicing attorneys, judges, lawmkers and professionals throughout the nation. The reestablished FAMU College of Law graduated its first class in May 2005, when 57 individuals

had their Juris Doctor conferred as the second inaugural graduating class. Since then, the law school has graduated three more classes of legal professionals, bringing our alumni base to more than 300.

A core group of alumni have begun the arduous task of developing an Alumni Council, seeking to identify the needs and interests of their peers with plans to host networking activities, CLE (Continuing Legal Education) workshops and other programs as needed.

To help foster the development of the Law School Alumni Council, the law school recently published the first alumni newsletter.

More information regarding the Alumni Council, its activities and programs will be shared via this website and a listserve distribution list. If you are an alumnus and you are not receiving law school alumni correspondence, please contact us at col_alumnidev@famu.edu or call 407-254-3266.
