Student Bar Association President’s Welcome

It is an honor and a privilege to greet and serve you as the newly elected President of the Student Bar Association. It is a humbling experience to be elected by one’s peers to a position of service and I truly the embrace the responsibility of this office and I look forward to tackling the challenges this office presents. More importantly, I relish the opportunity to work with you, my colleagues, to collectively address areas of student concern here at our fair institution, Florida A&M University College of Law.

The Student Bar Association is the governing body at the College of Law.  By virtue of the SBA Constitution, every matriculated student is a member of the Student Bar. However, mere membership is not enough. In addition to your studies, we encourage students to participate in our various committees designed to carry out the agenda of the SBA: Student contribution to educational development, networking efforts and professional development, among other things. Our committees like the Peer Tutoring, Bar Prep, Public Relations, Community Service, Health and Fitness and Curriculum development encourage students to participate in the shaping of their legal education and achieve goals that benefit the entire student body.

My cabinet and our executive board are excited to work with and for you. We look forward to working with dynamic and innovative student leaders, incoming and enrolled. We look forward to helping facilitate communications between the students, the faculty and the administration. Most importantly, we look forward to watching you develop and grow at this law school, becoming professional, capable and exceptional attorneys representing this institution in this market and all others.
