Robert Minarcin served as Assistant General Counsel for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation in the Division of Real Estate prior to joining the College of Law faculty. Before this administrative law position with the state, he practiced criminal law for 10 years, which included positions with the Philadelphia Defender Association in Pennsylvania, the Public Defender in the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida, and criminal defense firms in Central Florida. He has tried over 75 jury trials, including numerous armed robbery, drug, and child sex cases. Professor Minarcin also served as a Traffic Hearing Officer, presiding over civil traffic cases in the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida. As an adjunct professor at the College of Law, he has taught courses in Legal Methods and Criminal Pretrial Practice.
