Prior to joining FAMU, Hull was an assistant professor in the department of criminal justice and legal studies at the University of Central Florida and an adjunct professor at Barry University School of Law, both in Orlando. He has taught environmental law, legal research and legal writing. He received a J.D. from Barry University, an M.S. in Coastal Zone Management and an M.S. in Marine Biology from Nova Southeastern University in Dania, Florida, and a B.S. in Biology from Providence College in Rhode Island.
