Student Health Insurance Opt-In

Beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, ALL FAMU students will be required to have health insurance. Students must provide proof of health insurance coverage, and have provider access for routine and preventive care services as well as emergency care in the Tallahassee area (law students must have provider access in the Orlando area).  The deadline to waive is for Spring/Summer 2017 is Friday, January 6, 2017. 

NOTE: Students that fail to provide documentation of coverage will be enrolled in the University-sponsored student health insurance plan. The University Sponsored  Plan costs for 2016-2017 are listed below.

Term Cost Coverage Dates
Spring/Summer $1,260 January 1, 2017 – August 14, 2017
