The Office of Career Planning and Placement offers a variety of services for alumni, from individual counseling to updating and fine tuning your resume to direct access to Symplicity, an on-line career center that allows you to post your resume and cover letter, search for jobs nationwide, and sign up for career fairs. Alumni employers seeking full-time or part-time interns or law clerks during the academic year, summer associates or summer law clerks, entry-level attorneys, or lateral hires may fill immediate hiring needs by posting a position on our online database, Symplicity. Use the link to register for a free account.  Alumni employers may also post job opportunities by submitting a Job Posting Request Form via fax to 407-254-2455.


The Office of Academic Success and Bar Preparation provides a host of services free of charge to all FAMU first time bar takers, as well as alumni who have previously attempted, unsuccessfully, to pass the Florida bar exam.  Through its Bar Exam Success Training (BEST) Program, the office offers FAMU College of Law alumni one-on-one coaching and mentoring, essay grading and feedback, time and stress management tips, exam strategies, simulated exams and a structured supplemental study plan – all of which are designed to complement a commercial bar exam courses.  The BEST Program does not replace the need for an updated commercial bar review course.  The BEST Programs begin in December for the February Florida Bar Exam and in May for the July Florida Bar Exam.
